DS Smith Plc (“DS Smith” or “the Company”) today announces the proposed acquisition of the packaging division of Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget SCA (publ) excluding the kraftliner assets (“SCA Packaging” or “the SCA Packaging Group”) for a net consideration of approximately €1.6 billion (c. £1.3 billion1) (“the Acquisition”). The gross price will be €1.7 billion on a cash, debt and, to the extent legally possible and commercially practicable, pension free basis and approximately €1.6 billion on a net basis after taking into account a pension price adjustment.

The product is individually wrapped and branded to the customer name. The individual packs can be customised on request and feature the brand, the logo as well as any required information.

Tropicana Pure Premium has launched a 3L consumer bag-in-box pack earlier this year in France. This family format was designed for consumers to enjoy a 100% pure premium orange juice in a format which is easier to share and more economical for French families.

The pack stays in the fridge and a glass can easily be dispensed while the pack remains safely on the shelf. The bag-in-box concept, whereby the bag collapses as the juice is dispensed, enables the taste and quality of the juice to remain to its highest level for up to 3 weeks after opening.
