Archived NewsNew Keg Pallet Is Launched By Dw Plastics
DW Plastics is one of the world’s leading suppliers to the drinks and beverages industries. Best known for its ability to manufacture contemporary and stylish plastic crates, DW Plastics has now announced the launch of a Keg Pallet which is ideal for the transport and storage of 20-50 litre kegs. The manufacturing process, which uses high pressure moulding without any foam agent, results in a pallet with significant functional advantages over other moulded and structural foam pallets, including: In addition, CAD-CAE designed decks allow for the fullest possible contact between the load bearing surface and the stacked kegs. This ensures an even spread of weight, allowing safe and stable stacking of empty kegs up to 9 pallets high and filled kegs up to 6 pallets high. To ensure stability during handling, replaceable polypropylene taps are locked into the pallet to secure kegs. This new pallet is also extremely durable, able to last at least twice as long as any wooden pallet. The raw material is UV stable making the pallets suitable for outside storage in summer and attention to detail in the design of the pallet contributes towards its longevity, for example: The combination of low levels of damage, greater durability and lighter weights (the Keg Pallet weighs only 18.5 kg) provides significant savings within the supply chain making this pallet an ideal choice for companies wishing to improve the cost-efficiency of their logistics systems. What’s more, the dimensional consistency of the pallet ensures trouble-free use on filling lines, reducing downtime and improving productivity. The wide range of advantages over competitive pallets is supplemented by numerous safety features and the highest standards of hygiene. The flow-through design allows for easy cleaning - a high pressure washer will flush fluids, dirt and grime through the pallet, preventing the growth of micro-organisms and bacteria. Rudi Raskin is Commercial Director of DW Plastics. He comments: "The development of our new Keg Pallet has come about through a close working partnership with our customers. We have listened carefully to the points they have been making about the need for a pallet for kegs, which will increase flexibility in their transport and storage. We believe this is one of the most innovative designs to come on to the market in recent times and we expect high levels of demand. We can also create bespoke versions of this pallet for customers with specific requirements." For more information, please contact DW Plastics on +32 (0)89 41 22 91. |
