Taking Advantage Of Intasept's Versatility
A leading French food and beverage producer is taking advantage of the versatility of Intasept® technology to fill both orange juice and UHT milk. In this dual application, production efficiency is maximised by being able to fill either high and low acid products aseptically on the same machine without equipment modification, parts or process changes.
The orange juice, under the Cidou brand, is filled into both 3 and 5 litre bag-in-box packs and Fontaine de Lait, a low-fat UHT milk, is packed in the convenient 3 litre bag-in-box format. Fontaine de Lait, winner of the prestigious French packaging award, the Oscar de l’Emballage 2005, can be found on shelves at Monoprix, a high quality French supermarket and department store chain that is part of the Casino Group.
Intasept® is the aseptic bag-in-box system of choice for packaging UHT dairy products as well as many other products. Intasept® fillers provide a sterile, enclosed product transfer path from process to package thanks to the unique Intasept® steam-sterilised double-membrane technology. The inner membrane, heat-sealed under completely secure conditions during the fill process, remains sealed until the pack is opened by the consumer, thus eliminating any risk of product contamination during storage and transport.
Rapak's Intasept® technology, coupled with its convenient dispensing system, helps Cidou and Fontaine de Lait drive market share in both of these important categories.
